U Kostolcu je svečanom sednicom Skupštine obeležen Dan opštine. Kostolac je pre pet godina dobio status gradske opštine u sastavu Požarevca i od tada se 29. januar obeležava kao Dan opštine. Svečanosti, na kojoj je uručeno najveće priznanje, ključ gradske opštine dugogodišnjem direktoru, sada penzioneru tadašnjeg Industrijsko-energetskog kombinata Kosti Makaru prisustvovale su mnogobrojne zvanice, predstavnici grada Požarevca, Braničevskog upravnog okruga i Privrednog društva TЕKO Kostolac.

Na današnjoj svečanoj sednici Dan opštine Kostolčanima je čestitao predsednik, Ivan Savić:

-Prioritet gradske opštine Kostolac je povećanje kvaliteta života građana u svim segmentima života. Naš cilj je moderna i uređena gradska opština. U godini koja je pred nama naš najvažniji zadatak je da sledimo strategiju ubrzanog razvoja. Za ostvarenje postavljenih ciljeva potreban je mukotrpan rad, ali u nama postoji želja za napretkom, a građani će biti svedoci rezultata i dela“, rekao je između ostalog Ivan Savić.

O nastanku Kostolca koji se prvi put pominje u Povelji kneza Lazara 1380. godine kao i razvoju u toku ratnih i posleratnih godina i sadašnjem trenutku na svečanosti Dana opštine govorio je predsednik Skupštine, Nenad Marković:

„Gradska opština Kostolac danas broji više od 15 000 stanovnika čiju strukturu čini 26 nacija i etničkih grupa koje su sa sobom donele svoju istoriju i svoje običaje. Upravo ta različitost je pravo bogatstvo i potencijal Kostolca za razvoj, a mi kao lokalna samouprava smo tu da im obezbedimo bolje uslove za život. Poseban akcenat trebamo staviti na odrastanje naših najmlađih sugrađana, ali ne smemo zaboraviti ni radnike, poljoprivrednike, ni sve ostale sugrađane. Današnji praznik je prilika da se preispitamo da li je moglo sve brže, bolje, i više. Lično sam zadovoljan postignutim, ali smatram da je jedna godina kratak period za sve ono što treba uraditi, istakao je Marković.

Neraskidivi deo života i svakodnevnice Kostolca je Privredno društvo “Termoelektrane i kopovi“ Kostolac koje ove godine ulazi u najveću energetsku investiciju u Srbiji, izgradnju novog bloka snage 350 megavata, podsetio je na svečanoj sednici Skupštine opštine direktor kompanije Dragan Jovanović:

-U narednih pet godina Kostolac će biti velika investiciona lokacija u čitavoj Srbiji. Ovde će se investirati oko milijardu dolara svežeg kapitala u novu proizvodnu investiciju. Dobili smo, zahvaljujući funkcionisanju i opštine i grada Požarevca i uslove za to. Podsetiću da je opština Kostolac jedna od retkih koja ima usvojen Prostorni plan i sve uslove da se ta infrastrukturna delatnost širi ubrzano. Siguran sam da će i u budućnosti postojati zajednički jezik u funkcionisanju privrede i opštine. Svedoci smo da trenutno ne možemo da rešimo sve probleme, da trenutno ni kapaciteti samog Privrednog društva nisu dovoljni da se reše sva putanja ni oko zapošljavanja ni oko izgradnje sve infrastrukture, ali je zadatak da radimo na tome. Siguran sam da ćemo kroz direktnu saradnju raditi na dobrobiti građana Kostolca“, izjavio je Jovanović.

Kostolčanima je Dan opštine čestitao i načelnik Braničevskog upravnog okruga Aleksandar Đokić. Kosti Makaru, nekadašnjem direktoru IЕK Kostolac sada penzioneru, godišnju nagradu Kostolca, ključ, uručio je predsednik opštine Ivan Savić. Zahvaljujući se na priznanju Kosta Makar je rekao da je Kostolac njegov život.In Kostolac a ceremonial session of the Assembly marked the Municipality Day. An integral part of everyday life and locals left the „Thermal Power Plants and Mines“ Kostolac which this year has the highest energy investment in Serbia, the construction of a new unit of 350 MW, recalled the solemn session of the Municipal Assembly company director Dragan Jovanovic:

-In The next five years Kostolac will be a great investment location in the whole of Serbia. Here you will invest about one billion dollars of fresh capital into new production investment. We got it, thanks to the functioning of the municipality and town of Pozarevac and conditions for it. Let me remind you that the municipality Kostolac one of the few that has adopted the Spatial Plan and all conditions to the infrastructure business is expanding rapidly. I’m sure I will in the future be a common language in the functioning of the economy and the municipality. We see that we are not able to solve all the problems, there are currently no facilities of the company itself is not sufficient to solve all the trajectory is not about employment is not all about building infrastructure, but the task to work on it. I’m sure we’ll work through direct cooperation for the benefit of citizens and locals, „said Jovanovic.

The Chief Administrative District of Branicevo Aleksandar Djokic congratulated citizens of Kostolac the Municipality Day.
