These autumn days Pozarevac was a metropolis of maize as the most common crops in Serbia. The Center for Culture held on 2nd Serbian International Festival of corn which was opened by Mayor Pozarevac Miodrag Milosavljevic.

On this occasion he said:

– Pozarevac and Branicevo district from ancient times is a place where corn is produced. In the 19th century traders began to come in Pozarevac to corn exported to Austria-Hungary. Then start the farm momentum. Today we have to create. A good foundation, so that the farmers had higher yields.

We live in Stig, part of Serbia, which has a high-quality land, three rivers, a good climate, but we have to include science. Only the synthesis can not achieve better results. Ministry of Agriculture and local governments is the association and providing incentives to farmers.

Agricultural Fund for eight years Pozarevac unselfishly helps our farmers. So we have to work at the level of entire countries.

Ovih jesenjih dana Požarevcu je bio metropola kukuruza kao najzastupljenije ratarske kulture u Srbiji. U centru za kulturu održan je 2. Međunarodni festival kukukuruza Srbije koga je svečano otvorio Gradonačelnik Požarevca Miodrag Milosavljević.

On je tom prilikom rekao:

– Požarevac i ceo Braničevski okrug od davnina su mesto gde se proizvodi Kukuruz. U 19. veku Trgovci su počeli da dolaze u Požarevac kako bi kukuruz izvozili u Austrougarsku. Tada se pokrenuo poljoprivredni zamajac.  Danas moramo da stvorimo. Dobar temelj, kako bi Poljoprivredni proizvođači imali što veći prinos.

Mi živimo u Stigu, delu Srbije koji ima kvalitetnu zemlju, tri reke, dobru klimu, ali moramo uključiti i nauku. Samo tom sintezom možemo ostvariti bolje rezultate. Ministarstvo Poljoprivrede i lokalnih samouprava jeste udruživanje i davanje podsticaja poljoprivrednicima.

Agrarni fond Požarevca već osam godina nesebično pomaže našim poljoprivrednim proizvođačima. Tako se mora raditi na nivou cele države.
