Povodom međunarodnog Dana sećanja na stradale u saobraćaju, Savet za bezbednost u saobraćaju Skupštine grada Požarevca, kojim predsedava Aleksandar Đokić, na konferenciji za medije, podsetio je da postoji odgovornost institucija i društva pa je potrebno kontinuirano sprovoditi aktivne mere na smanjenju broja saobraćajnih nezgoda u zemlji. Članovi Saveta obratili su se javnosti povodom dana sećanja na žrtve saobraćajnih nesreća, 16. novembra koji se obeležava svake godine u trećoj nedelji ovog meseca.
-Podaci za Srbiju su alarmantni. Naime, 900 dece bilo je povređeno u saobraćajkama prošle godine, rekla je direktor Parking servisa Verica Savić.
Ona je najavila da će na nivou grada naredne godine biti izdvojena značajna sredstva za edukaciju najmlađih i konkretne projekte na terenu kako bi se obezbedila veća bezbednost građana, pre svega dece.
Savet je prošlog petka đacima prvog razreda podelio udžbenike o ponašanju u saobraćaju koji su prilagođeni za njihov uzrast, a svi članovi ovog tela, kao i gradski većnici potpisali su deklaraciju o pravu na poznavanje saobraćajnih propisa, rekao je saobraćajni inspektor Slobodan Jovanović. On je dodao da će tokom čitave ove sedmice biti organizovane akcije na unapređenju bezbednosti učesnika u saobraćaju. Kada je statistika u pitanju, pored primene znatno oštrijih propisa i sankcionisanju izazivača saobraćajnih nesreća, veliki broj ljudi i dalje strada u sudarima i incidentima. U Srbiji je prošle godine 650 ljudi poginulo, 3.415 je teško povređeno, a čak 15.029 je zadobilo lakše povrede. U prvih deset meseci na nivou države zabeležno je za 10 odsto manje saobraćajnih nezgoda, dok je broj poginulih za oko petinu manji.
-Međutim, u Braničevskom okrugu nema značajne razlike u statistici u odnosu na 2013. godinu, rekao je načelnik Saobraćajne policije u Požarevcu Darko Jeremić. Tako je ove godine 9 ljudi poginulo, 88 je teško povređeno, a 230 je dobilo lake povrede. Zbog vožnje u alkoholisovanom satanju, 186 osoba je zadržano u policiji. Teško prođe i dan a da policija nekog ne uhvati da vozi pijan. Ovog vikenda njih 10 je imalo više alkohola u krvi nego što bi smelo.
